October 20, 2018 –
This Challenge is for middle/high school students to learn and program their own drone to autonomously complete a task. No previous coding experience is necessary. The workshop will teach the basics of the library and set participants up with the knowledge and resources needed to independently continue work on their drone leading up to the Challenge Day. The Challenge Day will be a showcase of all the teams autonomous drones as everyone works to complete the challenge! All programming will be taught using (and the provided library is in) the Python programming language.
TEAMS MUST ATTEND THE WORKSHOP TO ATTEND THE CHALLENGE DAY.
Registration closes Sunday, October 14th.
Workshop will be held on the OU Campus, in Norman OK.

Registration cost is $50 per team. (Recommended one or two participants per team, max of 3).
An adult required to be present with the teams the entire duration of the event (adult can be the same for multiple teams). This registration fee gets teams into the Oct. 20th workshop and into the Dec. 10th Challenge Day. Both events will run 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Each team needs to bring:
- At least 1 Parrot Drone (Parrot Mambo FPV preferred, other types MUST have prop guards)
- At least 1 Laptop (we will help set up code libraries at the workshop)
- Safety Glasses for Each Member
- Extension Cord
